Dental Office Front Desk Specialist

Warmly greet patients and assist with their check-in/check-out procedures

Manage appointment scheduling using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, optimizing patient flow

Verify insurance coverage and handle medical billing inquiries accurately

Maintain patient records with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality

Process medical collections and perform documentation review to support billing accuracy

Efficiently manage multi-line phone systems, addressing patient inquiries and routing calls appropriately

Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate care plans and ensure clear communication

Utilize knowledge of dental terminology to assist patients and support educational efforts

full-time $20 - $26 per hour

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Sunday: Closed

Proven experience working in a dental office environment

Proficiency with EHR systems such as Open Dental or Dentrix highly preferred

Solid understanding of medical coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10) and dental terminology

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and 10-key typing proficiency

Excellent communication and customer service skills, prioritizing patient satisfaction

Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA standards

Bilingual abilities, particularly Spanish, to enhance communication with diverse patient populations

Experience in insurance verification and medical administrative support
