Surgical Oncology RN – Medical Intermediate Unit (MIU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to surgical oncology patients in a Medical Intermediate Unit setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring step-down level care following oncologic surgical procedures
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient cardiac status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in oncology nursing
• Experience in step-down or intermediate care unit nursing
• Experience in surgical nursing
• Telemetry monitoring competency

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Combined experience in surgical oncology and telemetry within a single care setting
• Familiarity with post-operative care protocols for oncology patients
