Position Title Resident Guest Care Support Reports To Program Manager Location Glendale, CA Classification Non-Exempt (Full Time) Hourly Rate $18.50 Shift Availability Thursday-Monday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Saturday-Sunday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; Monday-Wednesday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Responsibilities and Initiatives Ensure safety and security of the recuperative care facility, performing daily inspections and routine room checks. Conduct resident/guest intake, greet guests, provide orientation of program guidelines, expectations, and available services, build rapport, and collect feedback. Create and support engagement activities for residents/guests, maintaining consistent interaction and responsiveness. Assist nursing, case management, and external partners with appointments, on-site services, and care coordination. Maintain bed availability, resident/guest tracking, and required documentation with accuracy. Support inventory checks and supply logs as directed by lead staff or program management. Keep accurate records, including daily shift notes, incident reports, and Emergency Action Plan documentation. Respond to resident/guest concerns and provide de-escalation and support using trauma-informed, resident-centered approaches. Attend required meetings and training (e.g., shift handoff, BLS, Crisis Prevention, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, DEI). Laundry, boutique, and mealtime support duties; assist with basic housekeeping in absence of environmental services staff. Adapt schedule as needed, including additional shifts to meet operational demands, within labor law limits. Maintain a positive professional image and adhere to the organization’s dress code and standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations and resident/guest care services. Maintain resident/guest boundaries to ensure safety and security. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in caregiving, recuperative care, shelter-based care, or a related supportive services environment (preferred). Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Availability to work a schedule of five eight-hour shifts. Current BLS certification preferred but not required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Effective communication with staff, residents/guests, and external partners. Bilingual Spanish a plus. TB clearance required within 30 days of hire. Fingerprint live‑scan/background clearance required within 30 days of hire. Physical Requirements The duties require standing and walking 90% of the time, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Conversational speech required; noise level high in some client care areas.
