A leading Am Law 200 firm is seeking a Mid‑to‑Senior Level Private Equity Associate to join its Chicago office. This is a confidential search for a highly motivated corporate attorney looking to work with middle‑market private equity clients on sophisticated transactional matters.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will represent private equity funds, independent sponsors, and family offices in leveraged buyouts, as well as advise family‑owned businesses and entrepreneurs on sell‑side M&A transactions. The role offers substantial client contact, hands‑on responsibility, and the opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized private equity team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 4–8 years of relevant private equity and M&A experience
• Strong deal execution and client management skills
• Experience leading workstreams on leveraged buyouts and sell‑side transactions
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and organizational abilities
• Superior academic credentials and large law firm or highly regarded boutique experience preferred
• Admission to the Illinois Bar (or ability to waive in) required
