Referral Specialist

You can join a dynamic team of professionals where your contributions and voice make a difference.We are the best family care center across Southwestern PA and Northern WV for affordable healthcare.Communicates effectively with a broad range of patients, community and organizational members.Responsibilities Include:Schedules appointments and handles referrals for patients per providers request to outside entities.Handles referral in-house testing with contracted facilities and specialists.Completes referrals for various insurances.Handles emergency and urgent referrals, when requested.Receives all test reports and letters from specialists and notifies the providers. Alerts the provider of any urgent reports.Sends all pertinent information for appointments.Contacts patients with information regarding referrals and any specific instructionsCommunicates with all provider relations representatives and contacts them with any concerns, questions, problems or needs.Documents referrals on patients medical records.Documents needed testing or follow up on procedures and testing.Tracks diagnostic tests and reports.Communicates effectively with a broad range of patients, community and organizational members. Must be highly organized and able to multi-task as necessary. Must be able to perform efficient and accurate processing of patient visits including insurance verification, scheduling and data entry while maintaining positive patient/visitor relations.Cornerstone Care is a Non-Profit, Federally Qualified Health Center with 14 locations and a mobile unit, serving communities throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, and Northern West Virginia.
