Oral Surgeon

Sage Dental is seeking a skilled Oral Surgeon to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will perform surgical dental procedures, including extractions, implants, and corrective jaw surgeries, using advanced technology in a modern clinical setting. You’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional, patient-focused care. • Provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care, including extractions, dental implant placement, bone grafting, and other surgical procedures within scope of practice
• Conduct thorough consultations, evaluations, and treatment planning using clinical examinations, imaging, and medical history review
• Administer local anesthesia and IV sedation in accordance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education, follow-up, and complication management
• Collaborate closely with general dentists, hygienists, and specialists to coordinate interdisciplinary treatment plans
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic health record system
• Uphold strict standards of infection control, sterilization, and OSHA compliance in all clinical areas
• Participate in practice growth activities, including case acceptance discussions and patient relationship building
• Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to clinical support staff to ensure safe, efficient surgical workflows
• Stay current with advances in oral surgery techniques, technology, and materials through continuing education
• Oral and maxillofacial surgery techniques
• Pre- and post-operative patient assessment
• Administration of local and IV sedation/anesthesia
• Surgical extraction of impacted and non-impacted teeth
• Dental implant placement and bone grafting
• Management of oral pathology and infections
• Medical emergency recognition and management
• Interpretation of CBCT and other dental imaging
• Treatment planning and case presentation
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
• Pain management and pharmacology

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program
• Active, unrestricted dental license in the state of practice
• Board certification or board eligibility in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) preferred
• Valid DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances
• Certification in ACLS and BLS
• Sedation/Anesthesia permit as required by state regulations
