Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for ER patients using established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Triage, assess, and monitor patients; administer medications and therapies; respond to emergencies as needed.
- Develop and implement patient care plans; coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other team members.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and family members to support continuity of care.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required.
- Education: BSN preferred; otherwise current nursing degree meeting state licensure requirements.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of recent nursing experience; ER experience preferred; acute care facility experience preferred.
- Additional: Must have EPIC EMR experience; ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment; vaccination per health system policy.
