We are currently seeking a Structural Steel Welder to play a crucial role in constructing the future of our built environment. Responsibilities: Welding Expertise: Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding, on structural steel components according to project specifications and industry standards. Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of steel structures. Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, making any necessary adjustments or repairs. Material Handling: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move and position steel materials for welding. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and perform routine inspections of welding equipment, reporting any issues for timely repair or replacement. Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including fitters, fabricators, and supervisors, to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects. Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked on each project. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Structural Steel Welder, with a minimum of 2 years in the industry. Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds. Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in a metal fabrication environment. Knowledge of welding equipment operation and maintenance. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
