Work Environment

The chosen candidate will be working onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, which is designed with patient-centric therapy rooms and comprehensive rehabilitation equipment. The work schedule is set from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients to evaluate their physical abilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, focusing on measurable outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities that align with evidence-based protocols.
• Guide patients on self-care techniques and post-treatment exercises to empower their recovery process.
• Document patient progress and treatment efficacy in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare providers to support comprehensive patient care and maintain continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Patients range from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults seeking rehabilitation after joint replacements. You will play an essential role in addressing their unique needs, helping them navigate their recovery paths through personalized care plans and interventions.

Qualifications

• Active and current New York State Physical Therapist license.
• Completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree from an accredited program.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a physical therapy setting, ideally in outpatient orthopedic care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to ensure efficient documentation and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

Move Better Physical Therapy & Wellness offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
