CT Technologist - Float Team

Role Overview The CT Technologist supports multiple imaging locations within the organization, delivering high-quality, safe CT scans and ensuring a positive patient experience. This role involves performing exams, preparing patients, operating scanners, administering contrast media, and maintaining safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform CT exams according to physician orders and safety protocols. Verify patient identity, gather history, and screen for contraindications. Explain procedures empathetically using AIDET, ensuring clear communication. Position patients, assist with transfers, and use immobilization tools as needed. Establish IV access, administer contrast media, and monitor for adverse reactions. Operate CT equipment and power injectors safely, ensuring accurate scans. Optimize imaging techniques to achieve diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure. Evaluate image quality, identify urgent findings, and collaborate with physicians. Complete accurate documentation, manage RIS and PACS uploads, and perform QC checks. Support daily operations, maintain equipment, and adhere to regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. At least 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist experience and 2 years specifically in CT. Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS.
