Business Analyst

Business AnalystHighPoint's professionals focus on helping government agencies and companies implement their most critically strategic initiatives. The role of Business Analyst contributes to HighPoint by developing and implementing a long-term data reporting and analysis strategy; maintaining a strong focus on managing recurring and ad-hoc reporting processes from design, data collection, analysis, and reporting; and reporting and analyzing results across all levels of staff and leadership.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Contribute to system improvement efforts by supporting enhancements and troubleshooting defects.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, clarify, and document requirements for system improvements during operations and maintenance.Leverage JIRA to log, monitor, and prioritize work items within an Agile framework.Work to covert business needs into technical solutions alongside developers.Experience in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to work within established guidelines and time frames.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally at all organizational levels.Strong working knowledge with data analytics.Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.Excellent writing and public speaking skills.Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine solutions.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:Advanced written, verbal, and communications skillsData analyticsData management, statistics, accounting, and computer applicationsFamiliarity with agile project methodologyKnowledge and experience with collaboration and project management tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA)EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in a technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredTwo (2) years relevant experienceCollaboration and Project Management tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA) experience (preferred).Familiarity with agile project methodologyTop Secret ClearanceA reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000-95,000.ABOUT HIGHPOINT:HighPoint is a growth-oriented firm that provides a unique, differentiated employee culture relative to our Federal market peers.
