Description

Bargaining Unit: Non Represented - Supervisor

Rate of Pay: $34.46/hour + DOE

Summary: Responsible for assisting in the oversight and management of efficient and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in overseeing the end-to-end operations of the accounts payable team, including invoice processing, payment runs, and expense report management.
• Ensures payments are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in compliance with company policy.
• Assists in developing and enforcing accounts payable policies and procedures.
• Assists in establishing and maintaining strong vendor and supplier relations.
• Resolves vendor issues, discrepancies, or disputes effectively and professionally.
• Ensures accurate vendor records, including banking information and tax documents (W-9s).
• Assists with implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensures compliance with tax regulations, including sales/use tax and 1099 reporting.
• Assists with identifying and implementing opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the AP systems.
• Looks for opportunities to leverage AP automation tools within the ERP system to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
• Stays informed about best practices in accounts payable management.
• Assists with the supervision, mentoring, and development of the accounts payable team.
• Provides training on the accounts payable system and processes.
• Fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
• Complies with System policies and procedures
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university or 3 or more years relevant experience

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, proficient in the use of accounting software and ERP systems, excellent organizational skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills.
