Qualifications Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal, with knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy procedures within the Florida market. Strong understanding of bankruptcy filings, including petitions, schedules, and financial documents. Proficiency in Best Case bankruptcy software. Familiarity with bankruptcy court rules, regulations, and e‑filing systems. Excellent research, writing, and communication skills (English neutral accent). Core responsibilities Prepare Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other necessary filings. Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing bankruptcy documents, including creditor matrices, statement of financial affairs, and other required forms. Draft and file petitions, motions, and other legal documents in accordance with bankruptcy law. Manage and maintain bankruptcy case files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and on time. Communicate with clients, creditors, and court staff regarding bankruptcy proceedings. Prepare bankruptcy plan documents and assist in the drafting of reorganization plans for Chapter 13 cases. Assist in reviewing creditors claims, identifying disputes, and helping resolve issues as they arise. E‑file legal documents in bankruptcy court and track the status of filings. Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, correspondence, and file management. Maintain regular client communication, providing case updates at least every ten days. Handle client intake, ensuring all required information is collected and accurately documented in the intake worksheet. Process case filings, prepare petitions, and ensure all necessary client information is obtained and submitted. Track case progress, manage court filings and schedule necessary appointments related to each case. Bonus Qualifications (preferred, not required) Experience with deeds, power of attorney, wills, and trusts. Knowledge of estate planning and related legal documents. Benefits Competitive salary.
