Role Description The Executive Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in the Greater Milwaukee area, responsible for the overall operations, performance, and culture of an Azura Memory Care and Assisted Living community. This role oversees day-to-day management of resident care services, staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. The Executive Director leads and supports department leaders and team members, ensuring adherence to Azura’s MOSAIC philosophy while promoting a resident-centered, safety-focused environment. Daily responsibilities include building strong relationships with residents and families, coordinating with clinical and support teams, managing occupancy and community outreach, and maintaining high standards of hospitality and service. The Executive Director also monitors key performance indicators, implements operational best practices, and serves as the primary liaison with corporate leadership and external partners. Qualifications Demonstrated leadership and management experience in senior living, memory care, healthcare, or a related field, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and foster a positive, inclusive work environment. Strong operational and administrative skills, including budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and oversight of regulatory compliance and quality standards. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for interacting with residents, families, team members, healthcare providers, and community partners. Knowledge of dementia care practices, assisted living regulations, and person-centered care models; experience with specialized memory care programs is highly beneficial. Proven skills in problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution, with a focus on resident safety, satisfaction, and overall community performance. Ability to work on-site full time in the Greater Milwaukee area, with flexibility to respond to urgent operational needs as they arise. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, gerontology, social services, business, or a related field preferred; relevant licenses or certifications (such as Assisted Living Administrator or similar) are an asset.
