Production Clerk

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk works in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling materials on a production line and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role involves regular lifting of 2030 pounds, learning multiple tasks across the facility, and initially training on first shift before transitioning to second shift.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment to support daily shipping and receiving activities.
• Handle materials and products on a production line, ensuring accurate movement, staging, and flow of goods.
• Lift and move items weighing up to 2030 pounds on a regular basis while following safe lifting practices.
• Complete a 12 month training period on first shift to learn core warehouse processes and procedures.
• Cross-train across different areas of the job site to build versatility and support multiple functions as needed.
• Transition to second shift after training and maintain high productivity and quality standards.
• Follow all established safety, quality, and operational guidelines within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with team members on the shift to meet production targets and shipping deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or production environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse setting.
• Capability to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 2030 pounds.
• Comfort working on or around a production line with repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to train on first shift for 12 months and then move to second shift.
• Ability to cross-train and perform multiple tasks across different areas of the job site.
• Strong attention to safety and adherence to warehouse procedures and guidelines.
• Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and meeting shift schedule requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse environment.
• Experience working in hot, loud, and physically demanding conditions.
• Flexibility to work Monday through Friday and frequent Saturdays as needed.
• Comfort working in a team of 2030 people per shift.
• Willingness to adapt to changing production needs and added shifts as the facility grows.

Work Environment

The role is based in a busy warehouse with 2030 people working per shift in a hot, loud, and fast-paced setting. The work involves regular heavy lifting of up to 30 pounds and standing for extended periods on or near a production line. Training takes place on first shift, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with many Saturdays required. After training, the position moves to second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with frequent Saturday work and a shift differential for second shift. The environment is physically demanding and energetic, suited to individuals who thrive in active, hands-on warehouse work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
