Application Development Engineer

Engineering Service And Sales PositionPerform engineering service and sales functions independently and within a team environment, proactively identify customers' challenges and problems, research solutions, collaborate on ideas, and develop new applications or businesses with internal and external customer satisfaction.Duties and Responsibilities• Develop customer's application with technical and engineering support services.• Confer with customers and engineers to assess and determine requirements.• Help customers choose proper products and specifications to use, with supporting data and evidence.• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services to customers and prospective customers.• Help customers solve problems.• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customers' requirements and provide sales support when it's not one's own account.• Secure orders and arrange delivery when it's one's own account.• Plan and modify products to meet customer needs.• Research and develop new products and services.• Other duties as required.The application engineer may be asked to take on other projects, assignments, and/or tasks in accordance with business demands. Some overnight trips with IKO Sales and Engineering teams may be required.Core Competencies• Technical expertise: Technical knowledge of products, applications, technology trend and market• Results orientation and creativity: Proactive, creative, and results-oriented; able to perform both independently and within a team environment• Problem solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues then determine and execute solutions• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization with sensitivity to cultural diversity• Literacy: Proficiency in reading technical documents and writings.• Computer proficiency: Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software• Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver's licenseQualificationsEducation, Experience and other Qualifications• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 3-5 years of engineering work experience. Sales experience a plus.• Language: Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
