Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type PRN Cost Center CC005567 LAN - 8th Floor Infusion (LMC) Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-28 Scheduled Weekly Hours 12 Work Shift Rotating (United States of America) Job Description Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician. Determines appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site. Observes patients' IV treatment and records observations in patient medical records. Provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures. PRN Status Clause This is a PRN as-needed position, you must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. You may be required to work additional hours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish work objectives. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit. Experience Previous experience in oncology, infusion nursing preferred. Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required. Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. Licenses/Certification Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state is required. ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification must be obtained if not already certified. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
