About Your Role
The Project Manager Planning & Development M&O is responsible for managing and coordinating all phases of assigned capital improvement, modernization, maintenance, and operations projects from project inception through close-out. This role oversees planning, design, project development, procurement, construction coordination, budget management, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring projects remain aligned with approved scopes, schedules, and funding requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, utility providers, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to facilitate project delivery and achieve program objectives.
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Possession of a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential may be substituted for the required education.
- Candidates who do not meet the education requirement may substitute additional qualifying experience on a year-for-year basis and demonstrate extensive proficiency in the duties and responsibilities of the position.
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
- Minimum ten (10) years of full-time paid professional experience managing public, educational, commercial, or institutional construction projects.
- Experience managing projects through all phases, including project initiation, planning, design, development, procurement, construction, and close-out.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
What You'll Do
- Manage, oversee, and coordinate all phases of assigned projects, including pre-construction, planning, design, project development, bid and award activities, construction support, and project close-out.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure projects remain aligned with approved project scopes and objectives.
- Develop, organize, and prepare project status reports, schedules, and presentations for executive leadership and program management.
- Coordinate with public agencies, regulatory authorities, utility providers, and governmental organizations to obtain approvals and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Monitor project budgets on a regular basis and ensure financial reporting accurately reflects project status and expenditures.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex planning, design, construction, and project-related issues, disputes, and conflicts.
- Review project schedules, progress reports, and deliverables to ensure scope, schedule, and budget objectives are maintained.
- Support contract administration activities, including procurement planning, bid evaluations, contract development, and award recommendations.
- Implement project and program policies, procedures, and guidelines while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Evaluate industry developments, best practices, and strategic initiatives that may impact program goals and project outcomes.
- Collaborate with technical staff, consultants, and stakeholders to develop project cost estimates and budget projections for facility improvements and alterations.
- Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders to facilitate successful project execution.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and correspondence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform additional duties and special assignments as assigned.

Salary
- $164,000 $174,000 annually
Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, skills, certifications, and other job-related factors.
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at managements discretion.
