What You’ll Do

• Assist in cardiothoracic surgeries including CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy, and lung resections
• Perform OR duties such as vein harvest, chest tube placement, and other surgical procedures
• Support ICU and telemetry care for postoperative patients
• Participate in weekend inpatient rounds, procedures, and surgical assistance
• Cover call duties including nights and weekends, with schedule flexibility
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in the EMR

What You Need

• Kentucky state license to practice as a NP/PA
• Ability to assist with surgical procedures (CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy/ lung resection)
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery required
• Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills
• Key skills: surgical assistance, ICU care, telemetry, patient documentation
