Associate Attorney Civil Litigation

The role is for a US‑licensed attorney in Illinois who wants to help consumers fight financial companies, learn consumer law, and grow within a fast‑moving firm. We are flat‑fee, so there is no hourly billing, and we train new attorneys on the law, strategy and process. Responsibilities Defend consumers from cases brought by financial institutions Develop case strategies Manage and assist other attorneys with cases Jump in and help in various practice areas when necessary Creative problem‑solving and learning new areas Oversee drafting, filing, and other case‑related activities by our top‑notch support team Identify violations of consumer protection laws such as the FDCPA, FCRA, DSCPA, and ICFA Speak up and propose improvements to litigation strategies, processes, and workflow – everyone’s ideas count Help build and grow the firm with your unique work and life experiences Travel to courthouses for hearings, arbitrations, and occasional trials in the counties we serve (Cook, DuPage, Lake, Will, Kane, Kendall, McHenry, and Winnebago) Qualifications Ambitious, proactive and keen to learn Attention to detail and strong organization skills Excellent writing skills Ability to manage a caseload while working with a team Clear communication with support staff Self‑motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team Positive, upbeat personality with a sense of humor Licensed in Illinois and living in the Chicagoland area Must be able to travel to courthouses and occasionally attend trials in our served counties Compensation Base salary: $80,000 – $95,000 per year Bonuses based on personal and firm metrics 401(k) with 3% firm match Health care (BCBS) – firm covers 50% of base plan Work from home flexibility #J-18808-Ljbffr Harrer Law, P.C.
