Location: North Carolina, US Proposed Start Date: 10/23/2023 Estimated Duration: 12 Months Position Summary The Miao Lab in the Computational Medicine Program and Department of Pharmacology at UNC Chapel Hill is looking for a Postdoctoral fellow to conduct accelerated molecular simulations and AI‑driven drug discovery focusing on biomolecular recognition and critical targets such as GPCRs and membrane‑embedded proteases. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements A Ph.D. and/or M.D. in biomedical or related sciences is required. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Knowledge and training in computational biophysics/chemistry and drug design. Conduct research to advance biomolecular modeling and computer‑aided drug design. Engage in developing proposals for new funding sources, publishing, and presenting research topics. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Strong publication record in biomolecular modeling and computational biophysics/chemistry. Programming skills in bash, Python, Fortran, C++, and CUDA. Expertise in computational modeling such as Molecular Dynamics, virtual screening, free energy calculations, and Deep Learning. Successful experimental collaboration experience and excellent communication skills. Special Physical/Mental Requirements None provided.
