Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school psychologist, making a meaningful impact through a contract role supporting K-12 students during a maternity leave. Located near vibrant Evanston, IL, this onsite position provides the chance to work directly within school environments, collaborating with students, educators, and families to promote academic and emotional success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 populations preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
- Ability to develop interventions and strategies for academic and behavioral needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to support student learning and well-being
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to students
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on strategies for academic and behavioral support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance with all relevant guidelines
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school climate
