Commissioning Field Engineer - High Purity

The High Purity Field Commissioning Engineer will lead our commissioning team and manage information from start to finish for large semiconductor projects. This role leads onsite quality control efforts by assisting subcontractors and vendors with startup preparation, including reviewing startup schedules and any impact that other subcontractors may have during startup. The engineer will collaborate with design professionals, clients, subcontractors, and craftspeople to address complex commissioning coordination issues and will be on the front line in avoiding and solving technical problems that arise. This position is fully onsite at our project located in Boise, ID. Responsibilities Assist project management team in keeping subcontractor startup dates on schedule Demonstrate thorough understanding of all systems requirements to perform startups, including predecessors and successors Implement and manage the project QA/QC Program; review and approve subcontractor QA/QC Programs to ensure alignment Schedule and coordinate QC Specialists Perform onsite inspections including underground utilities Conduct QA/QC Meetings Ensure all subcontractors follow their approved QA/QC Plans Perform onsite inspections of delivered Owner Furnished Equipment Participate in scheduling meetings to ensure startups are on schedule and assist Construction Managers in adjusting schedules to achievable startup dates Ensure systems are ready to operate safely and that all safety precautions are in place prior to operation Coordinate work with Mechanical, Electrical and Electrical Low Voltage Project Managers and their teams Interpret construction documents, control sequences, and technical manuals Lead startup meetings with Area Construction Managers, design team members, multiple subcontractors, local utility agencies, and owners to coordinate/drive MEP system startup activities Interface between Area Construction Managers and multiple subcontractors to coordinate mechanical/electrical startups Verify documentation is complete and equipment is construction complete and ready to start safely Organize and facilitate training of Owner's personnel in operations and maintenance of all systems Review and process project submittal information; coordinate between multiple submittals to ensure accuracy and functionality Receive and distribute RFIs and change documents; organize and file record documents Information storage and retrieval using computers and handheld devices Serve as Technical Advisor at the onsite field construction office Access all areas and levels of the construction site for work progress review Maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate changing construction schedules Write and publish meeting minutes, schedule graphs, and activity checklists; provide clear communication verbally and in writing Essential Functions Standing/walking/sitting as part of a daily work routine Climbing stairs as needed Extensive use of hands for computer work; visual and auditory acuity to monitor equipment and alarms Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform required physical tasks Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and meet schedules Fluency in reading and interpreting construction documentation and communicating with team members Qualifications, Skill And Abilities Thorough understanding of commissioning processes Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience Five+ years of project commissioning management experience Extensive experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor projects Familiarity with medium and low voltage distribution, generators, UPS, and large mechanical/process equipment installations Experience organizing technical data; familiar with CSI specification system Ability to work with trade and craft personnel; professional under pressure Experience handling multiple tasks with frequent interruptions Training in design and construction document reading, specifications, survey techniques Strong visual observation and interpretation skills; excellent written and verbal communication Team player, self-starter, flexible, able to work with diverse personalities Ability to access all construction site areas for progress review Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam Experience with project management software (e.g., Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, MS Project, Primavera P6) and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) Salary Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 DOE + Incentives About Us Build What Matters.
