Position Summary: Extrusion Operator:

An AdvantaFlex Extrusion Operator utilizes extrusion equipment and manufacturing processes in the AdvantaFlex Extrusion Department to produce extruded tubing products in order to fulfill production requirements.

Key Job Responsibilities: Extrusion Operator:

• Operates extrusion equipment in accordance with Standard Manufacturing Procedures and work instructions to produce tubing products that conform to specifications. 
• Sets up, changes over, and shuts down all extrusion equipment in accordance current procedures. 
• Inspects finished goods visually and with measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications. 
• Packages finished goods. 
• Uses the production schedule to determine the order in which production jobs are executed. 
• Uses paper based and electronic systems to track finished goods production, raw material consumption, scrap, and production time.
• Troubleshoots and corrects quality related defects in products. 
• Follows Good Documentation Practices. 
• Uses PPE properly, follows all safety procedures. 
• Follows cleanroom gowning procedures and exhibits good cleanroom behavior. 
• Supports 5S initiatives. 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements: Extrusion Operator:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
• Basic computer skills 
• High level of attention to detail 
• Ability to communicate effectively with other team members.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment. 
• Self-motivated, does not need constant supervision. 
• Extrusion experience preferred, but not required
