Your Specific Responsibilities:

Incumbents in this position will make an immediate and meaningful impact in the lives of Floridians. They perform duties that guarantee qualified health care professionals can work in the state and provide all Floridians access to the health care they need to lead healthier lives. By increasing the number of licensed health care professionals in the state, incumbents also support those currently working in health care professions who are so critical in any public health emergency.

The incumbent will work with the Boards of Osteopathic Medicine, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, and Council of Licensed Midwifery. Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
• Identify the callers' needs and provide appropriate assistance or route the call to the appropriate individual.
• Gather accurate information from callers.
• Providing general licensing status information and requirements to customers.
• Reviewing information in the Division’s Licensing and Enforcement Database (LEIDS), Customer Functional Database, and associated software/online systems and websites, as well as statutory laws rules, to provide a response to customer inquiries.

• Sort and distribute mail to the appropriate individual/section.
• Researching Massage Transcripts & General Mail
• Assist with various administrative tasks, such as uploading documents, responding to and distributing emails.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows‑based systems, the ability to learn job‑specific software, strong data organization skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently within established schedules. The position requires in‑office attendance.

This is a fully on-site position based in Tallahassee. Employees are required to work from our Tallahassee office five days per week with no regular telework or remote option.
