Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite, allowing for hands-on interaction with patients. The workplace schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a structured work-life balance. You will be part of a close-knit team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all dedicated to maintaining an environment that emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and a patient-first ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions to establish a baseline for treatment and identify specific goals.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that utilize a variety of treatment techniques aimed at promoting recovery, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education.
• Provide cost-effective and evidence-based treatments that alleviate pain, enhance the range of motion, and foster mobility.
• Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques and provide them with the motivation needed to adhere to their rehabilitation programs.
• Monitor and document progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure patients are meeting their recovery milestones.
• Effectively communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care to integrate physical therapy as part of a holistic approach to health and wellness.
• Advise on fitness and wellness programs that are customized to the unique needs of each patient, promoting long-term health and preventing future injuries.
• Reduce the reliance on medications and explore alternatives to surgeries through effective rehabilitation strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse clientele consisting of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing each patient's unique challenges and facilitating their path to recovery. Our emphasis on preventative care also aims to improve patients' overall physical performance and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active New York Physical Therapist License, free of any disciplinary actions.
• Proven manual therapy skills and proficiency in exercise prescription.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1-2 years of professional experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrable success in improving patient outcomes and satisfaction through evidence-based practices.
• A strong background in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
