Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

ProCare Therapy is partnering with Ypsilanti Community Schools to hire qualified Special Education Teachers for the current and upcoming school year. These are full-time positions offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in diverse classroom settings.

Position Details

• Location: Ypsilanti, Michigan
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: June 2027
• Schedule: Full-time

Available Caseloads

• Elementary ASD / Cognitive Impairment (CI) Classrooms
• High School ASD Classroom
• Resource Room Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with ASD and/or cognitive impairments
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
• Foster a structured, inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Special Education Teaching License required
• Must hold certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Cognitive Impairment (CI)
• Previous experience in self-contained, ASD, CI, or resource settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
