Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Texas is seeking an Assistant Director of Facilities Services to support the daily operations of our Facilities and Food Services departments.In this role, you'll work closely with the Director of Facilities Services to oversee staff, scheduling, training, contractors, quality of work, safety, and regulatory compliance. You'll play an important part in ensuring our campus remains safe, sanitary, comfortable, and operational for the children we serve and the employees who support them.What You'll DoSupport the Facilities Director in the day-to-day operation of Facilities and Food ServicesSupervise, coach, train, and provide ongoing feedback to department employeesCoordinate staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate departmental coverageMonitor the quality and completion of work performed by employees and outside contractorsHelp maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning physical environmentIdentify facility and safety concerns and ensure appropriate corrective action is takenSupport departmental compliance with OSHA, NFPA, accreditation, licensing, and organizational requirementsAssist with emergency preparedness, safety procedures, risk management, and infection-control practicesParticipate in regulatory and accreditation surveys and address areas of non-complianceSupport departmental budgets and responsible use of financial and human resourcesIdentify opportunities to improve departmental processes, quality, efficiency, and service deliveryPromote strong communication and teamwork within the department and across the organizationHelp ensure employees receive required training and understand departmental expectations, policies, and proceduresQualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Diploma requiredProficient computer skillsValid driver's license that can be maintained throughout employmentExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience managing facilities operations and supervising staff1–2 years of facility safety experience preferredKnowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and Joint Commission codes and standards related to facilities preferredCompany OverviewDevereux is one of the nation's largest nonprofit organizations, providing services, insight and leadership in the evolving field of behavioral healthcare.
