Position Purpose: The Accountant I will assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. The Accountant I will focus on travel & expense management and general reporting to support the Finance function. Title: Accountant I Position Type:Full Time Pay Range: $60,000 - $90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) On-site position at our Lafayette, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need). Benefits: Employer sponsored health, dental, and vision benefits effective the first of the month following hire date Life insurance 401k (matching 4% with a minimum 5% contribution) Generous PTO (3 weeks of vacation + 3 floating holidays, 2 weeks of sick time, 7 paid holidays throughout the year) and parental leave Job Responsibilities: Monitor company credit card transactions to include receipt and statement reconciliation Administer corporate credit card accounts in bank module, including creation, termination, suspension, access, and account limits Manage employee Out of Pocket/personal expense reports for reimbursement Verify and post details of company transactions to the general ledger Serve as administrative point of contact for travel & expense vendors Manage separate email account dedicated to travel & expense report questions; serve as first point of contact for all travel & expense questions from employees across the company Track monthly credit card submission status and delinquency Generate program finance and FP&A reports as needed, to be provided to broad internal audiences Other responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications/Education: 2 years of experience or related education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Experience working in general ledger accounting, A/R, or A/P Thorough knowledge of accounting basics with general ledger experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Must be detail oriented and have good organizational skills Must possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education Working Conditions: This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
