Description Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Machinists for projects located in the Portage, IN area . This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $35-40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical mills, horizontal boring mills, and turning centers within a custom job-shop environment Work with Mazak, Haas, Kia, and Tongtai equipment, including Mazak HCN, VTC, Quick Turn, Slant Turn, and Integrex machines Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications Select tooling, establish work offsets, load programs, and make necessary program adjustments Set up fixtures, pallet systems, hydraulic steady rests, and Renishaw probing equipment Perform first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments Safely move and position materials using overhead cranes and jib cranes Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust tooling and offsets, and maintain quality throughout production Follow shop safety procedures and maintain an organized work area Company Details Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
