Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is looking for a Litigation Paralegal with excellent research and analytical skills for our client's busy Construction Defects department in Miami. The selected candidate will focus on pre-suit matters including the investigation and case development, mediation, and arbitration. The ideal candidate will have high-level attention to detail skills, as well as strong time management abilities.Responsibilities
- Handle case intake; researching property records, providing pertinent details to docketing, updating database with claim info
- Monitor Arbitration filings inbox to relay deadlines to docketing
- Communicate priority issues to attorneys and paralegals
- Submit Process Server and Expert invoices in Emburse Enterprise (Chrome River)
- Handle American Arbitration Association (AAA) invoices
- Update claims database
- Other miscellaneous tasks and meet daily deadlines
- Consistently achieve billable hour expectation set by the firm (including approved non-billable time)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Paralegal or similar role required
- Construction defects experience desired
