A growing Chicagoland General Contractor is looking to add a Senior Preconstruction Manager to its team.

The Opportunity

As Senior Preconstruction Manager, you will lead the preconstruction process from early concept through final pricing and handoff to operations.

You will manage and mentor a team of four, while working closely with executive leadership, clients, architects, trade partners and project teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading conceptual estimating, budgeting and GMP development
• Managing subcontractor outreach and bid coverage
• Driving value engineering and constructability reviews
• Supporting client presentations and preconstruction meetings
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with trade partners
• Overseeing workload, development and performance across the preconstruction team
• Partnering with operations to ensure a smooth transition from pursuit through execution

What They Are Looking For

• 8+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a General Contractor
• Strong experience managing projects from early budgeting through final GMP
• Ability to lead, mentor and develop junior team members
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Experience across multiple project types is preferred
• Someone who is ambitious, collaborative and interested in growing with the business
