Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 + Performance Commission

OTE: $200,000 –$250,000

The opportunity:

Take ownership of commercial growth for one of the Central Coast's most established roofing contractors.

With more than 40 years of success, a trusted regional name and new private-equity investment, the company is entering an ambitious period of expansion and is looking to grow beyond $50 million.

The business already has the reputation, estimating capability, operational infrastructure and market opportunities required to achieve that growth. With active opportunities and a high bid volume, you won't be starting from zero. You'll be given a genuine platform and the autonomy to turn existing opportunities into awarded work.

This is an opportunity for an established commercial construction rainmaker to become the face of the business.

The role:

You'll take ownership of commercial business development across Ventura and the surrounding Southern California growth markets, converting existing bid activity into profitable, awarded work.

You will:

• Act as the company's commercial face across their markets
• Take ownership of existing bid opportunities and drive them through to award
• Build and deepen relationships with general contractors, consultants, developers and key decision-makers
• Attend industry events, contractor associations, job walks, meetings and client dinners
• Maintain a strong local presence throughout the sales and bidding process
• Follow up consistently on estimates and uncover why projects are won or lost
• Provide feedback on pricing, competition, production timing and customer objections
• Develop new strategic accounts while expanding existing relationships
• Provide concise reporting on activity, pipeline feedback and results
• Help recruit and develop a wider commercial sales function as the business grows

What we are looking for:

• A strong network of general contractors, consultants, developers or property decision-makers
• Proven commercial construction sales or business development success
• The credibility to engage senior-level customers
• Persistence throughout long and competitive bid cycles
• Strong negotiation and closing ability
• An independent, accountable and results-driven approach
• The ability to collaborate effectively with estimating and production teams
• The ambition to build a market, a team and a long-term commercial growth strategy
