Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ambulatory Surgery Center PACU role requiring ACLS, PALS, and compact RN licensure.

Work in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (DMEI) setting

Recover phase 1 PACU patients ranging in age from 6 months to 95 years

Manage airways, pain, and nausea in surgical eye patients

Perform IV insertion and instill prescribed pupil-dilating drops

Conduct patient interviews and assessments

Familiarity with surgical eye cases (cataracts, cornea, retina, glaucoma, plastics) strongly preferred

Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current BLS certification from AHA

ACLS and PALS certifications required

Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred

Strong IV skills and knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to maintain a fast pace and work effectively within a team

Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and treatment responses

Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products

Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and discharge

Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

Facility strictly enforces credentialing and compliance deadlines, with no flexibility for start date delays
