Junior Project Manager / Assistant Project ManagerAn established infrastructure construction contractor is seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to advance their career while gaining hands-on experience with complex municipal infrastructure and wastewater treatment plant projects.The ideal candidate will bring a foundation in heavy civil construction, project engineering, or project coordination, along with a desire to grow into a Project Manager role.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Managers with planning, coordinating, and executing wastewater treatment plant and water infrastructure projects.Track project schedules, budgets, costs, materials, and procurement activities.Coordinate with field superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and owners.Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.Monitor project progress and help identify schedule delays, cost concerns, and potential risks.Assist with subcontractor coordination, material purchasing, and project forecasting.Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication between office and field personnel.Help ensure projects meet contract requirements, quality standards, safety expectations, and completion milestones.QualificationsApproximately 3+ years of experience in construction, project engineering, project coordination, or assistant project management.Heavy civil, municipal infrastructure, water/wastewater, or treatment plant construction experience preferred.Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Bluebeam is a plus.Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.Ability to work collaboratively with office and field teams and visit active jobsites as needed.Compensation & OpportunityCompetitive salary range of $90,000–$130,000, based on experience and qualifications.Opportunity to develop specialized expertise in wastewater treatment plant construction.Career advancement potential toward full Project Manager responsibilities.Exposure to complex infrastructure projects and experienced construction leadership.Professional growth within a specialized sector of civil construction.Interested in Taking the Next Step?If you have a background in construction and want to build your career in water and wastewater infrastructure, this is an opportunity to develop your project management skills while contributing to essential municipal construction projects.Apply today to learn more about the position and the projects available throughout the DFW market.
