Metropolitan Management Company is looking for a highly knowledgeable, detail-oriented, Assistant Property Manager with a can-do attitude. We are a well-established and thriving Property Management Company that manages desirable multi-family apartment buildings ranging from 20-200 units. We are strong believers in promoting from within and have built a great sense of community to work in. The position oversees the daily tasks of multiple properties.
Our ideal candidate will, have a high level of integrity, take pride in their work performance, and have the ability to interact and work well with others. This position is full-time at our corporate office and/or on-site at a property.Pay Scale: $24-28/hour DOE
Work Schedule: M-F 8:30-4:30 (After hours availability may be required)
Location: Seattle, WA
Duties Include:
- Assist with management of over 100+ residential apartments
- Generating legal notices to Pay or Vacate, Renewal Offer Letters, and any other notices that may be required
- Prepare and execute rental agreements, including following-up with residents who have pending Renewal Offer Letters
- Market and lease available units, including ad creation and posting, responding to rental inquiries, and showing units when needed
- Maintain all digital files in the property management software system
- Rent collection, including communicating with residents on payment plans, posting notices and following up on late rents
- Respond to residents with maintenance requests, and scheduling with vendors or maintenance personnel
- Oversee vendors who perform maintenance and cleaning in the building
- Interact with residents, vendors, peers, property owners and corporate team members with a friendly, positive attitude
- Perform routine property walks to ensure maintenance and custodial issues are promptly addressed
- On rate occasions have availability to assist residents in the event of an after hours emergencies, such scheduling a vendor for leaks
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of safety and protocols
- Basic understanding of minor and major maintenance needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Flexibility with schedule
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Experience with Realpage property management software preferred
- Property Management or Real Estate experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Washington State Landlord Tenant Law preferred
- Bilingual, English and Spanish required
