Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Healthcare in Ventura, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, reliability, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile and innovative approach.

- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as requested, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports related to incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be vaccinated in accordance with hospital requirements.
- Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
