Client Support Technician

Job Summary (Client Support Technician Onsite, Jackson, MS)

- Location: 100% onsite at MS Department of Archives & History, Jackson, MS (no remote work)
- Contract Duration: 1 year (potential extension)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
- Background Check: Must pass criminal background screening

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support and service desk assistance to end users onsite
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows 10/11 operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and hardware (desktops, notebooks, printers, wireless devices)
- Support user account management in Azure/Active Directory environments
- Assist with basic networking tasks (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
- Implement and maintain endpoint security tools
- Deliver excellent customer service, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills

Required Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma, vocational training, or Associate's/Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science
- 1 to 4 years of relevant IT support or service desk experience
- Proficient with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Azure/Active Directory, and basic networking
- Experience supporting desktops, notebooks, printers, and wireless devices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and troubleshooting abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft certifications
- Powershell scripting experience

Strict Requirements:
- Must be able to report onsite from the first day
- Only candidates local to MS will be considered
