Job Summary : The Kitchen Technician, reporting to the Team Leads, Kitchen Supervisor and Head Chef, is responsible for executing all daily operations as assigned. Additionally, the Kitchen Technician works constantly to maintain the policies and procedures of Klutch Cannabis and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations.  

Essential Functions

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  
• Prepare Gummies, chocolates, mints and other food products as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor, and Team Leads, including precisely dosing active and inactive ingredients, and homogenizing large batches of product to ensure a high level of quality and consistency.  
• Use a wide variety of commercial kitchen equipment and kitchen utensils safely and in the manner intended.  
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and utensils, including equipment teardown and sanitation of individual components.  
• Ensure compliance, at all times, with all sanitation regulations and safety standards in the production of all marijuana infused products produced.  
• Performing cleaning duties as needed outlined in the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.  
• Follow weekly production schedules created by the Kitchen Supervisor and Executive Chef   
• Upholding all Klutch Cannabis policies and procedures.  
• Maintain accurate, real time records of production batches and processes.  
• Take responsibility and ownership of all duties performed.  

Basic Qualifications  

• At least one year of commercial Cannabis kitchen experience, restaurant or food manufacturing facility preferred.  
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to management.  
• Energetic, hardworking, and willing to pitch in with whatever is needed.  
• Highly adaptable and able to think quickly.  
• Ability to work swiftly and productively, both independently and in a team environment.  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.  
• Must be able to pass an OAC 3796 background check.

Working Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, processing facility, and commercial kitchen. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, as well as kitchen equipment.  

Physical Requirements  

The employee is regularly required to use hands to type, handle, feel.  

The employee is frequently required to walk, talk and hear.  

The employee is occasionally required to sit and type.  

The employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach for 8+ hours each shift.  

The employee is required to safely lift and/or move up to 70lbs on a frequent basis.  

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
