Mortgage Underwriting Quality Assurance Analyst

Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Underwriting Quality Assurance Analyst with strong knowledge of residential mortgage underwriting and document review. The ideal candidate will have experience identifying documentation discrepancies, potential fraud indicators, and underwriting issues within a fast-paced banking or lending environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Review residential mortgage underwriting files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance .

Assess supporting documentation and identify altered, fabricated, inconsistent, or potentially fraudulent documents .

Validate underwriting decisions against applicable lending policies, procedures, and requirements.

Identify quality issues, risk indicators, and discrepancies and document findings clearly.

Support quality assurance reviews and provide actionable feedback to improve underwriting accuracy.

Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Adapt quickly to changing requirements and project priorities.

Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve documentation and underwriting issues.

Strong understanding and hands-on experience with residential mortgage underwriting practices .

Proven experience in mortgage document review and quality assurance .

Ability to identify altered, fabricated, incomplete, or inconsistent documentation.

Banking experience, particularly Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) , is highly preferred.
-
Experience in fraud detection/prevention is an asset.
-
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
-
Demonstrated efficiency, adaptability, and ability to work independently.

Must be available full-time for the duration of the engagement.

Must be comfortable working remotely with two monitors and a working headset (mandatory).

Strong communication and documentation skills.
