Key Responsibilities

• Primarily scrub, with circulating responsibilities as needed, for complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
• Support procedures including Coronary Artery Bypass (primary and redo), aortic aneurysms, AVR and MVR (primary and redo), TAVR, ECMO, and VADs
• Apply critical thinking and multitasking skills in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Participate in ongoing research protocols within the department
• Respond to on-call requirements and be available for overtime as needed
• Participate in required holiday coverage per department need, including summer and winter holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 3–5 years of recent experience scrubbing and circulating in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Must be proficient in both scrub and circulator roles
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Strong communication skills and ability to function effectively as a team player
• Ability to multitask and apply critical thinking in high-acuity surgical settings

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred
• Pediatric cardiac surgical experience is a plus
