This role involves utilizing SAP development tools and technologies to create and enhance solutions that align with user needs and business objectives. The Software Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams including other developers, designers, and product managers to ensure software is functional, scalable, and reliable.The role could include placement on a paid on-call rotation to provide operational support coverage outside of normal business hours for critical business application(s).Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure high-quality code through a test-driven approach, debugging, and adherence to industry best practiceApply clean coding principles (TDD, CI, etc.) and leverage automation to reduce manual processesCreate and design intricate software solutions using the latest technology and best practices, incorporating non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and maintainabilityMaintain the full tech stack, including Operating System, Database, and Application Lifecycle PlanningIntegrate vendor solutions with APIs from the company's API repository and contribute to system architectureProvide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers (Associates/Interns), fostering skill development and knowledge sharingLead by example in Agile methodologies and clean coding practicesUnderstand business objectives, context, and nuances, ensuring technical work aligns with organizational goalsWork closely with cross-functional teams to drive business value through software developmentWork on a team responsible for maintaining end-to-end solutions, including fixing production bugs and continuously improving software reliabilityOther duties as assigned or may be necessaryKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesStrong problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesAbility to leverage conflict resolution as a learning tool rather than negotiation, enhancing principles and practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong team collaboration and mentorship mindsetPossess a learning attitude with continuous self-improvementUnderstanding and application of Lean MethodologyProficiency in at least one programming language with comfort in multiple programming languagesAbility to constructively critique the code of others according to principles of software craftsmanshipEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer, engineering or related discipline with two (2) or more years of relevant coding experience[OR] Associate's degree in computer, engineering or related discipline with four (4) or more years of relevant coding experience[OR] High School Diploma/GED with degree with six (6) or more years of relevant coding experiencePreferred ExperienceOne or more of the following skills will set you apart:Experience developing and supporting solutions in SAP S/4HANA, including ABAP, RAP, CDS Views, Fiori, SAPUI5, BTP, and RISEExperience developing and supporting solutions in SAP ECCExperience with SAP HR technologies, including SuccessFactorsExperience integrating SAP SuccessFactors, SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA using APIs, OData services, SAP Integration Suite/CPI, or other integration technologiesUnderstanding of HR business processes such as employee lifecycle management, recruiting, onboarding, learning, performance management, compensation, and organizational management[DP1]Experience with the following non-SAP technologies would be considered a differentiator: Proficiency in C# and .NET frameworksProficiency in front-end languages/frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js) Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Azure API Management, Mulesoft)Experience with testing tools (e.g., Bruno, Postman, Blazemeter, Jmeter, Certify)Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure AD, Data Factory, Logic Apps, Functions)Familiar with Azure Generative AI services and methods (OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Speech Services, RAG model)Familiar with Azure DevOps, CLI, PowerShell, and CI/CDFamiliar with API security (OAuth, JWT)Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks Why should you join our team?
