Description

Hill City Sports Center is seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Facilities Staff to support both maintenance and custodial operations. This role is responsible for keeping the facility clean, safe, and fully operational for athletes, families, and guests.

Facilities Staff play a key role in ensuring that all courts, fields, restrooms, common areas, and equipment spaces are maintained to a high standard for daily sports and community use.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, courts, fields, and common areas

• Perform routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal

• Set up, break down, and reset equipment for leagues, camps, events, and rentals

• Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance or safety issues

• Perform basic maintenance tasks and report larger repair needs to management

• Restock supplies (paper goods, soap, cleaning products, etc.)

• Assist with event turnovers and facility transitions between activities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage and equipment areas

• Support exterior maintenance tasks such as grounds upkeep or snow removal when needed

• Follow all safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety

• Ability to follow instructions and facility procedures

• Basic maintenance or custodial experience preferred but not required

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial, maintenance, or facility operations roles
• Experience working in sports complexes, schools, gyms, or event venues
• Basic handyman or repair skills
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and safety protocols

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and maintenance tasks

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
