Collections Representative

Location: Coon Rapids, MN

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday (No Weekends)

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50/hour + Uncapped Commission Potential

About the Opportunity

A growing financial services organization is seeking motivated Collections Representatives to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy helping others, building relationships over the phone, and working in a professional yet relaxed office environment.

In this role, you will contact individuals to help resolve outstanding accounts related to collecting deceased debt. Success in this position comes from combining strong customer service skills, empathy, and effective problem-solving. High performers have the opportunity to significantly increase their earnings through a generous commission structure and advance into leadership and senior-level positions.

Responsibilities:

• Follow established policies, procedures, and training guidelines while making outbound calls to collect on deceased debt.
• Meet daily collection goals and productivity standards.
• Maintain queue of accounts with regular review, phone calls and miscellaneous follow-up work.
• Conduct fact-finding conversations with individuals to locate estate information and identify potential money sources.
• Establish payment arrangements with a sense of urgency and firm deadlines.
• Skip-trace accounts according to established practices provided in training.
• Assist in special projects as requested.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
• Basic computer and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• Previous collections, account resolution, or call center experience.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Coon Rapids, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $38480.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Direct Placement – benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K match, short/long term disability, PTO accrual and Holiday pay immediately
