Insurance Customer Service Representative

Position Overview

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a high-volume contact center environment. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at delivering exceptional customer service, solving problems efficiently, and maintaining a positive experience for every customer interaction.

The successful candidate will handle inbound and outbound calls, respond to email inquiries, and navigate multiple systems while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service through high-volume inbound and outbound phone interactions.

• Respond to customer inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and urgency.

• Research, analyze, and resolve customer concerns using multiple systems and applications.

• Maintain service quality standards while meeting productivity goals.

• Take ownership of customer requests and ensure timely resolution.

• Build rapport with customers and deliver a positive experience during every interaction.

• Learn and apply insurance-related concepts and product knowledge.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.

• Assist with special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume contact center environment.

• At least 1 year of experience within the insurance industry.

• Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM CST as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish skills.

• Experience with voluntary benefits products.

• Banking or financial services experience.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Rosemont, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
