By leveraging over five decades of manufacturing expertise and employing an extensive technologies portfolio, we design, manufacture, and finish incomparable stock and customized solutions for numerous markets./ppPosition: Environmental Control Operator/ppLocation: New Albany, Ohio/ppDepartment: Waste Treatment/ppReports to: Waste Treatment Lead/ppShift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm/ph3Job Summary/h3pThe Environmental Control Operator is responsible for ensuring that the nickel, nox scrubbers, TSS and neutralization whole flow environmental systems and processes are operated and are maintained at the required performance level./ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliMonitor and operate waste water and air scrubbing systems/liolliAdd chemicals as needed/liliWatch for proper nickel flocculation and precipitation/liliCheck for proper pH ranges/liliCheck NOX scrubber circulation tank/li/olliLabel stored chemicals according to OSHA regulations/liliClean and store empty containers/liliMaintain chemical inventory reports/liliParticipate in Emergency Response System/liliStore wastes properly/liliTake readings and log information on chiller, boiler and air compressor as necessary/liliKeep waste treatment area neat and clean/liliAny other duties as assigned/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliHigh School diploma or equivalent/liliMust satisfactorily complete Chemical Safe Handling and Operations Training within first 6 months of employment/liliCapable of working in a chemical environment/liliCurrent HAZWOPER training, or ability to become certified with 6 months of hire./liliCurrent Forklift training or ability to become certified with 30 days of hire./liliMathematical skills including addition, subtraction, division and multiplication/liliSelf-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction/liliAble to wear a respirator (no facial hair which would interfere with fit)/liliAble to work overtime as needed - sometimes on a short notice or on weekends/li/ulpAnomatic takes pride in creating a safe and inclusive environment that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees and the communities in which they live.
