About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Must have active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR - Must have previous charge experience - Must have experience managing a patient ratio of 6 Description: This position involves working 3 shifts per week. The shift hours are from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Floating to other units is required based on patient care needs. Staffing ratios during the night are 1 nurse for every 6 patients. You will care for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, TIA, seizure, and chest pain. You will be responsible for medication administration using the Omnicell system. Providing high-quality patient experience is a priority. Special procedures such as peritoneal dialysis can be performed in this unit. Continuous bladder irrigation is also within the unit capabilities. Additional required skills include managing cardiac drips, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and pharmacy. You must be willing to follow all policies and procedures regarding patient care. The role may include responsibilities such as using rapid response teams and performing wound care. Experience in managing high-acuity medical-surgical patients is preferred. You will be home unit-focused, but be prepared to float if necessary. Compliance with all health and safety regulations is required.
