Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Pediatric Operating Room Registered Nurse – Wisconsin Start Date: September 28, 2026 Location: Madison, Wisconsin Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, 0700-1730, Monday through Friday with weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities. On-call requirements include 1 every 6-8 weekends, 1 weeknight per week (Monday-Thursday), and holidays as operationally needed. Highlights: Work in a Magnet-designated comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center with nationally recognized specialists Level One Pediatric Trauma Center experience in a state-of-the-art facility with Level IV NICU capabilities Epic charting system in use Diverse case mix including pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, kidney transplant, and pediatric trauma 32 hours of orientation provided Support from interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Services and Pharmacy Requirements: Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty BLS certification required (American Heart Association only) PALS certification preferred Pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, and pediatric trauma experience required Kidney transplant experience required Trauma Level I and Level II experience required Epic charting system experience required Must pass telemetry examination with strict passing criteria (80% or higher on pediatric exam, 100% identification of lethal rhythms) Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Must reside 50 miles or more from facility location Willingness to float as needed Why It's a Great Opportunity: This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on pediatric patients and their families in a healing environment specifically designed for children.
