Finance Project Manager

Shift Schedule: Works days: Friday, Monday, Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Shift start: 8:00 AM. Shift end: 5:00 PM. Worker Sub‑Type: Regular. Job Overview Develops, executes, and manages high‑level, complex, and large‑scale initiatives and projects related to department goals. Leads strategic plan development, system integration, and implementation support. Manages and reports deliverables, status, and quality throughout the lifecycle for projects spanning multiple functions, departments, and processes. Ensures project scope aligns with goals and delivers projects on time. Responsibilities Develop and monitor detailed implementation plans and ensure flawless implementation with stakeholders in support of department strategy. Maintain robust project management tracking process, provide regular updates, and elevate issues professionally and timely. Create effective presentations for executive‑level communications and facilitate meetings for clear objectives and outcomes. Provide high‑level consultative, technical, and decision‑making support to department. Conduct due diligence, research, and analyze data, processes, and systems related to assigned projects. Collaborate with internal and external resources, including national peer programs. Provide project portfolio management services and support. Oversee multiple project implementations concurrently while offering leadership support to assigned project managers. Supervise data management coordinators and guide project managers with implementation and leadership direction. Manage impromptu and scheduled critically needed projects as required. Lead role in documenting project management protocols, procedures, and guidelines. Provide implementation services independently, including project management, strategic planning, rollout support, system selection, and operational planning. Act as point of escalation for project managers and team members. Oversee team status reporting and escalation of issues and resource needs. Manage development and progress of project plans, master schedule, budget impact, resource allocation, and risk management. Communicate project plans and milestones with department, all project team members, users, and other stakeholders. Establish internal support for methods used. Manage project management expectations effectively, involving the right partners at the right time. Act as liaison to system resources, including academics, fundraising, marketing, communication, and finance. Track and facilitate department strategic plan execution, particularly for clinical and business operation programs. Manage the Quality/Project Manager, supervising a team of data management coordinators, and oversee project managers responsible for operational project delivery. Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees. Mentor team members to encourage personal and professional growth and provide opportunities for continued education. Experience 5 years of experience in project management with progressive responsibility. Preferred Qualifications Experience in project management in a healthcare environment. 2 years of experience in supervision or lead project management. Project Management Professional (PMP). Education Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Business, Health Service, or related field. Skills & Abilities Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Project or comparable project management software. High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Organizational, analytical, fiscal management, and time management skills. Highly skilled in communication, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution. Excellent verbal and writing skills for executive communications and project reporting. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and interact positively with teams, including administrative staff and executive leadership. Capability to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules, priorities, and project scope. Ability to lead projects from inception to completion with minimal management supervision and to assist other team members in learning these skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and complete complex projects across a large system. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities through time management and relationship management. Demonstrated ability to influence decision makers and actions across a large system.
