What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care to adult and geriatric hematology/oncology patients, primarily those newly diagnosed with acute leukemia
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and IV therapies following strict infection control protocols
• Monitor patients using telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond with Rapid Response procedures when necessary
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral IV sites; care for feeding tubes and perform blood draws
• Ensure patient safety by following fall prevention and infection control practices
• Coordinate care utilizing EPIC electronic charting system
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, compassionate, and personalized patient care

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemo Certification
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient nursing experience, with specific hematology/oncology experience
• Proficiency with MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, and central line management

• NIHSS certification
• Experience with infection prevention and fall prevention protocols

About the Assignment You will support a busy hematology-oncology unit that cares for adult patients, focusing on leukemia and related hematologic conditions. The role involves managing complex therapies, blood product administration, and coordinated patient care in a dynamic environment. First-week orientation runs Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with subsequent on-unit orientation and flexible shift scheduling based on departmental needs.
